One of the most important aspects of fish / pond keeping is ensuring that the ponds water is of a high quality and has the correct chemical composition. A significant proportion of all fish health issues are either directly or indirectly related to unsuitable water quality. Monitoring a ponds water quality is also important in preventing other undesirable pond issues, such as the occurrence of nuisance algae.
As part of our range of pond fish healthcare services, we provide a comprehensive water quality testing and analysis service. This service involves testing up to eight different water quality parameters. These water quality tests include; pH, Ammonia (NH3) / Ammonium (NH4), Nitrite (NO2), Nitrate (NO3), Phosphate (PO4), General Hardness (GH), Carbonate Hardness (KH) and Oxygen (O2).
On completion of the above water quality tests, we will identify any results which fall outside of the acceptable range for each parameter. Finally, corrective action / detailed advice will be provided, in order to ensure that the ponds water quality is returned to an ideal state.
