Daniel Green T/A Green's Aquatic Services

From an early age Daniel Green, the proprietor of Green's Aquatic Services, has had a strong interest in all things aquatic. Having been a keen fish keeper for most of his life, he has gained much experience in keeping, breeding and showing a wide range of ornamental fish species.

At the age of eighteen he moved from his home town of Bolton, Greater Manchester to Winchester, Hampshire, to study for a BSc Honours degree in Aquaculture and Fishery Management, at Sparsholt Agricultural College.

Having graduated in September 2004 he was then employed as fry unit manager for Test Valley Trout, one of southern England's largest Rainbow Trout farms.

He later moved back to northern England where he worked in the ornamental fish sector for several years. During this period Daniel was employed by aquatics companies, including; Maidenhead Aquatics (York), Cascade Water Gardens (Bury), Cascade Aquatics Centre (Harrogate) and Britain's Aquatic Superstore (Bolton).

In June 2008, whilst working for Britain's Aquatic Superstore (B.A.S.), Daniel noticed a high demand for pond services from customers visiting the store. Having been looking for an opportunity to set up his own business, he began working as a self employed pond contractor, trading as Green's Aquatic Services. For the following three years he continued to work for B.A.S. on a part time basis, whilst gradually building up his own customer base. In September 2011 he left his job at B.A.S. to run Green's Aquatic Services full time.

Daniel continually strives to improve his knowledge in aquatics through attending talks, conferences and trade events. Since graduating he has also gained additional qualifications, in the way of advanced diplomas in the subjects of; Water Quality, Filtration, Fish Biology and Fish Health.

He is also an active member of the Northern Goldfish & Pond Keepers Society (N.G.P.S.), as well as the Goldfish Society of Great Britain (G.S.G.B.).

Green's Aquatic Services is fully insured for both public and products liability. It is also a member of the Ornamental Aquatic Trade Association (OATA) and works to the letter and spirit of its code of conduct.
