From an early age Daniel Green, the proprietor of Green's Aquatic Services, has had a strong interest in all things aquatic. Having been a keen fish keeper for most of his life, he has gained much experience in keeping and breeding a wide range of ornamental fish species.

At the age of eighteen he moved from his home town of Bolton, Greater Manchester to Winchester, Hampshire, to study for a BSc (Hons) degree in Aquaculture and Fishery Management, at the National Aquatics Training Centre at Sparsholt Agricultural College.

Having graduated in September 2004, Dan started his career running the fry unit at Test Valley Trout - Greatbridge, one of southern England's largest Rainbow Trout farms.

In 2005 after four years living in Hampshire, he moved back to northern England and began working in the ornamental fish sector. Over the following six years he was employed by four different aquatics businesses, including; Maidenhead Aquatics (York), Cascade Water Gardens (Bury), Cascade Aquatics Centre (Harrogate) and Britain's Aquatic Superstore (Bolton).

In June 2008, whilst working for Britain's Aquatic Superstore (B.A.S.), Dan noticed a high demand for pond services from customers visiting the store. Having been looking for an opportunity to set up his own business, he began working as a self employed pond contractor, trading as Green's Aquatic Services. For the following three years he continued to work for B.A.S. on a part time basis, whilst gradually building up his own customer base. By September 2011, the work load for G.A.S. had grown siginificantly and so Dan made the decision to leave B.A.S. and focus on running Green's Aquatic Services full time. Thirteen years on, the business is still going strong.

Dan continually strives to improve his knowledge in aquatics through attending talks, conferences and trade events. Since graduating he has also completed two advanced diplomas in the subjects of; 'Water Quality & Filtration' and 'Fish Biology & Fish Health'.

He is also an active member of the Northern Goldfish & Pond Keepers Society (N.G.P.S.), as well as the Goldfish Society of Great Britain (G.S.G.B.).

Green's Aquatic Services is fully insured for both public and products liability. It is also a member of the Ornamental Aquatic Trade Association (OATA) and works to the letter and spirit of its code of conduct.
